ABOUT ME, PERSONALLY

In my youth, I was an avid athlete – basketball, track, equestrian, and powerlifting dominated my evenings and weekends – and I loved it. My trainer had become a powerful mentor and friend, and, on a mission to bring more stretching to my active lifestyle, we explored yoga together. I instantly felt at home on my mat moving with the breath of the class, completely oblivious to the world. When I retired from basketball at Texas Christian University, yoga became an even more prevalent force in my life and I went on to complete yoga teacher training at CorePower Yoga in 2016.

 

Coming from such an athletic background, I explore pushing the comfort zone in my classes with challenging transitions, intentional breathwork, and meditative movements. My goal is to provide classes that allow you to truly tune in to what your body is feeling and experiencing while allowing your brain and energy to be set free.

ABOUT ME, PROFESSIONALLY

As a CrossFit Level One Coach, Certified Yoga Instructor, and Reiki Level I & II Practitioner, my coaching and teaching style is rooted in:

  • Empowering you to more deeply understand your own body and limitations through instructing proper alignment and injury prevention during exercises and yoga postures.
  • Helping you learn how to connect with yourself and take care of yourself so that you feel more joy in your daily life.
  • Meeting yourself where you are and building lasting, sustainable habits.
  • Cultivating strength from within.
  • Not taking yourself too seriously! Movement and healthy living can be fun, it’s all about finding what works for you – and we’re all different.
